We've all seen this Verizon commercial touting their cell service is better than competition.
And most recently, Tom Brady and Gisele split 💔
I'd bet someone wasn't listening in that relationship.
Which leads us to today's message, Listen.
Listen 👂🏽
I was fortunate enough sit on a call and LISTEN to the late General Colin Powell
His message was simple:
In leadership you need to listen to everyone to make the best decision.
If it's the person's first day or they have been doing it for 20+years, you need to listen.
It's easy to give feedback, but take it?
That's where our ego comes out.
Here are ways get feedback:
✅ Send out email to customers and ask for it
Example Email:
Hi Tom,
As we prepare for 2023, we want to hear from you so we can deliver beyond your expectations!
If you have 30 seconds can you please help us answer these two questions:
On scale 1-10, how happy are you with (insert your service)?
What do you think would make our business better for our customers?
We appreciate the feedback!
Thanks,
Rick
That's it!
And when they reply, send them an offer they can't refuse!
✅ Leverage Social Channels (Engage your customers and ask them)
✅ Review Sites ( ex. Google, Yelp)
Do you want to go to a restaurant that has two 3 star reviews?
Or a restaurant with 500 5 star reviews?
✅ Use your customer list, ask them for a review and send them an offer when it's done
BAM!
Listen to your customers, employees and anyone providing feedback. 👂🏽
